President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has encouraged Namibians, and genocide-affected communities in particular, to embrace Genocide Remembrance Day in full and to acknowledge its foundation as laid in the common grounds found on Namibia's Joint Declaration with Germany.

Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofulus, says various regional governors have begun preparations for the Genocide Remembrance Day to ensure the participation of citizens from across the country.

Theofelus gave an update during the seventh Cabinet briefing today.
