The Deputy Minister of Defence and Veterans Affairs, Charles Mubita, has dismissed allegations of pandemic corruption in the ministry and on August 26, a company wholly owned by the ministry.

The deputy minister was responding to questions posed by AR leader Job Amupanda.

The Independent Patriot for Change (IPC) has commended President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah for trimming the Cabinet from 21 ministries to 14.

Speaking at the party's 'State of the Nation Address', its leader, Panduleni Itula, said the move will reduce resource wastage and duplication of responsibilities.
