The Inspector General of the Namibian Police, Joseph Shikongo, says the government is committed to improving the facilities where the police are operating to make their working conditions conducive.
Police Inspector General Joseph Shikongo emphasises that, in an era where the global policing landscape is rapidly changing due to advanced technology and rising cybercrime, police leadership must be forward-thinking, adaptable, and innovative.
The police's agricultural farm situated in the Omaheke Region, formerly known as Uichenas, has been renamed after retired Lieutenant General Raonga Jesaja Andima.
Andima was the second Inspector General of the Police.
In a critical briefing to the |Khomas Regional Leadership of the Namibian Police, Inspector General Joseph Shikongo issued a clarion call for them to adopt an analytical, robust, and tactical approach to security services.
