Service providers in the ICT sector are intensifying efforts to expand infrastructure, aiming to bridge the digital divide and enhance connectivity. 

Kavango West is one of the least connected regions in terms of network in the country. 

This was shared by the Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofelus, during a stakeholder engagement at Simanya.

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology has affirmed the government's commitment to bridging the digital divide by expanding access to ICT services across all regions.

There are still parts of Namibia without access to telecommunication networks. 

Mupini village, in the Kavango West Region, is one of the areas earmarked for the construction of a telecommunications tower.
