President Nangolo Mbumba has congratulated Botswana's new President, Gideon Duma Boko, and the Umbrella for Democratic Change, following their election victory.

Duma Boko (54) is Botswana's President-Elect. Boko is a seasoned lawyer and jurist with a vast history in Botswana’s political landscape. 

He previously served as Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly from 2014 to 2019.
