After years of drought, communities in Opuwo Rural Constituency were holding on to the little grass that remained, hoping it would keep their livestock alive through the difficult months ahead.

Voting at the Omao polling station in the Opuwo Rural Constituency was going at a snail's pace when the nbc News team visited in the afternoon. 

The presiding officer, Ndjamba Mutjavikua, explained that the process was slow as they were catering for voters who lived in the remotest part of the region.
