The Osona Fishing company handed over food parcels to 200 households in Tsumkwe, which brought relief and joy to families ahead of the festive season.
The food parcels are worth N$150,000. 

The community received food parcels including maize meal, rice, macaroni, cooking oil, sugar and canned fish.

Kunene Police Commander Eric Clay has urged motorists to exercise caution on the roads during this festive season.

The region recorded 3 fatalities, 6 serious injuries and 6 crashes at the start of this festive season. 

Road fatalities in Kavango West have so far decreased from 14 deaths in 2023 to nine this year.

There has also been a drop in serious injuries, with 27 recorded last year to 25 during the same period.
