The Otjozondjupa Regional Council has allocated over a million dollars to tackle the water and sewer reticulation issues at the Shack Dwellers Federation site in Kalkfeld.

The Town Council of Khorixas plans to improve the living conditions of its residents in the informal area this year. 

The council has conducted feasibility studies for sewerage reticulations and the availability of electricity and water for the community members.

Oshakati Town Council has commissioned the construction of an underground sewer network and water reticulation for Oshakati North Extension 12 and a portion of Extension One.

Another upgrade is the Natis Extension 3 - NHE road to bitumen standard, phase 1, in Oshakati East.
