The Namibia Security Workers Union (NASWU) on Thursday handed over a petition to the Ministry of Justice and Labour Relations.

Security guards from different companies joined the march and the petition handover. 

Swakop Uranium workers are at loggerheads with the company over benefits under the continuous operation shift arrangement.

The company is exempt from the labour law that allows workers to operate 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

The Mine Workers Union of Namibia (MUN) has launched several strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening member engagement and promoting sustainable socioeconomic development. 

The union recently held a Western Regional Roundtable discussion in the Erongo Region as part of member engagement forums. 

Fishermen from Etosha Fishing and Talent Tide have petitioned the Ministry of Fisheries to express their dissatisfaction with their employment conditions.
