The government has intensified efforts to contain the Foot-and Mouth Disease (FMD) outbreak by setting up roadblocks in the Karasburg district to restrict movement of cloven-hoofed animals and raw animal products.

Police in the Ohangwena Region have launched their Easter patrols across the entire jurisdiction.

These patrols aim to ensure a visible law enforcement presence in the region, particularly given the influx of visitors during the long Easter weekend.
