The Governor of the Zambezi Region, Dorothy Kabula, has highlighted several challenges facing the region, with delays in key road projects topping the list.

The Kavango West Region has introduced a number of projects to address socio-economic developments such as unemployment, poverty, food insecurity, and climate-related vulnerabilities, among others.

Residents of Kavango West fear the region could miss development if the government proceeds with the Kavango-Grootfontein water link project.

The concern was raised during a community meeting with the consultants at Mururani.

Hardap Governor Riaan McNab today presented his State of the Region Address, providing an account of government programmes, development achievements, and challenges facing the region.

Kavango East Governor Hamunyera Hambyuka has revealed plans by the government to construct a primary school at Mushangara Village.

Currently, primary school learners must cross a river by canoe each day to attend Kake Primary School on the opposite side—a practice Hambyuka describes as dangerous.
