A group of the |Hai-|Khaua clan members expressed discontent over the appointment and installation of the clan's deputy Gaob, citing a lack of consultation with the wider community.

The |Hai-|Khaua clan, a sub-tribe of the Nama people, has appointed a new deputy Gaob. 

Senior traditional councillor of the |Hai-|Khaua Traditional Authority, Michael Haman, was installed into the position during a ceremony held at Berseba on Saturday. 

The Masubia Traditional Authority in the Zambezi Region extended its farewell wishes to their retiring stalwart, Ngambela Albius Milinga Kamwi, on Friday.

Almost three months after a directive from the Minister of Urban and Rural Development to sort out their chieftaincy dispute, the Dâure Daman Traditional Authority is still far from resolving the matter.

Retired teacher Isaskar Taurob won the controversial Dâure Daman Traditional Authority chieftainship election at Uis in the Erongo Region.

Taurob garnered 403 votes, while Efraim Goseb and Dawid Areseb received 6 and 1 votes, respectively.
