Trade ties between Africa and China are growing stronger.

Beijing recently announced a zero tariff for 53 African countries with diplomatic relations, which will expand duty-free access for African exports under this framework.

Vice President Lucia Witbooi has called on French businesses to invest in Namibia, pointing out the country's growing economic opportunities and commitment to strengthening bilateral trade and investment relations with France.

The Minister of International Relations and Trade, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, said Namibia and France continue to strengthen their diplomatic and economic relations, noting that the two countries cooperate through diplomatic missions and growing business engagements.

The president of the Kenya-Namibia Chamber of Commerce has urged Namibian diplomats and business leaders attending the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi to pursue actionable investment deals and tangible business partnerships from engagements with Kenya and more than 30 African heads of state attending the summit.

China has announced plans to grant zero-tariff treatment to all African countries that maintain diplomatic relations with it, a move expected to boost trade and economic cooperation across the continent.

Namibia is set to host the second Namibia-European Union Business Forum from the 12th to the 13th of May. 

This marks a key milestone in strengthening economic ties and advancing investment cooperation between the two partners.

International Relations and Trade Minister Selma Ashipala-Musavyi has called on Chinese businesses to deepen trade ties by investing in value addition to Namibia’s natural resources. 

She made the remarks during a roundtable and networking engagement in Shenzhen, China. 

Namibia and Brazil are set to explore new areas of cooperation, with an emphasis on agriculture and manufacturing, as well as oil and gas.

Namibia and Russia have emphasised the need to strengthen economic and trade ties amid growing bilateral trade and cooperation.

This was revealed during the opening of the Namibia-Russia Business Forum in the capital today. 

Namibia and Singapore are looking to deepen their economic ties, with both countries set to explore new areas of cooperation while strengthening existing trade relations.
