Namibia will host the SADC Organisation Public Accounts Committee Peer Review Programme and training workshop at Swakopmund from 18 to 23 May 2026.

About 100 delegates are expected to attend, including representatives from South Africa, Malawi, the Seychelles, Lesotho, Zimbabwe and Eswatini.

The Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Accounts and Economy was called off midway through a public hearing at Keetmanshoop after the municipality's top administrators failed to provide satisfactory responses and supporting documents related to irregularities flagged in the audit reports. <
