The Central Northern Electricity Distributor (CENORED) electricity users will pay more for power from next month as it announces an average tariff increase of 3.5%, effective 1 October.

The increase will affect consumers in parts of the Otjozondjupa, Omaheke, Oshikoto and Kunene regions.

Members of the public have expressed frustration over the recent taxi fare increase from N$ 13 to N$ 15, which was introduced after the fuel price increase.
