The University of Namibia (UNAM) celebrated Heritage Day to promote and strengthen cultural identity, traditions and diversity among the students. 

The event highlighted the significance of unity, respect, acknowledgement and appreciation of different cultures in Namibia. 

Former Brave Gladiators player Vewe Kotjipati, who is based in Germany and plays football for St. Pauli 2, has helped initiate a Heritage Day celebration aimed at bringing Namibians in the diaspora together.
