President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, joins the rest of the world in the commemoration of International Women’s Day celebrated on the 8th of March.

Vice President Lucia Witbooi has called on churches to take active roles in their communities.

Witbooi made the call during the World Day of Prayer for Women, held at the AFM Restoration Center. 

The Namibian Police Force has commemorated 17 officers who died in the line of duty during the International Day of Remembrance for Fallen Officers, observed annually.
The commemoration is for those that died in the line of duty over the past seven years.

A vehicle fell into one of the sinkholes at the Queenspark residential area in Rundu, Kavango East Region.
