Miss World Namibia, Selma Kamanya, made history by securing a spot in the Top Eight at the 72nd Miss World event held in Hyderabad, the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Telangana. 

The prestigious title, contested by 107 other hopefuls, was awarded to Miss Thailand, Suchata Chuangsri.

Agreement to export mutton and chevon to China signed

Zambian court sentences content creator to six months for cyberbullying

A Lusaka magistrate has sentenced Zambian content creator Elias Musyani to six months in prison and fined him K70,000 (around N$50,000) for cyberbullying musician Yo Maps’ wife, Kidist Kifle.

This is the first case of its kind in Zambia, where a court has ruled on online bullying.

Historic Windhoek Declaration added to UNESCO's Memory of the World Register

The Windhoek Declaration has been officially added to UNESCO’s Memory of the World register.

The announcement was made on Wednesday during a ceremony in Brussels.

The Windhoek Declaration was created in 1991 by African journalists and media professionals during a UNESCO seminar in Windhoek.
