President Mbumba returns from state visit to Cuba

President Nangolo Mbumba returned home after a State Visit to Havana, Cuba, at the invitation of President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.

Reflecting on his visit, President Mbumba emphasised the strong bond between Namibia and Cuba, describing Cuba as a second home for Namibians.

President Nangolo Mbumba and First Lady Sustjie Mbumba visited the grave site of Cuba’s revolutionary leader and former President Fidel Castro Ruz at the Santa Ifigenia Cemetery in Santiago de Cuba.

It is also where national hero José Martí is buried.

President Nangolo Mbumba has reminded officers that they are required to prove that the time they put into completing their courses was not in vain.

Dr. Mbumba, as Commander in Chief, conferred pass symbols on 30 senior officers who graduated from a Senior Command and Staff Course.
