A war veteran, retired Lieutenant Colonel Office Chisozu, from Kongola in the Zambezi Region, has died.

Chisozu died in the Katima Mulilo State Hospital on Monday, aged 90.

The Republican Party (RP) says it is not opposed to the government or the Swapo Party.

Its leader, Henk Mudge, told President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah at State House that the RP's focus remains on practical, fact-based politics rather than emotional debates.

The debate around Swapo MP Tobie Aupindi's motion calling for the lifting of the U.S. blockade on Cuba is set to resume in the National Assembly tomorrow.

Public policy analyst Marius Kudumo says the motion is crucial against the backdrop of the current geopolitical situation in the world.

A Swapo Party MP in the National Assembly, Tobie Aupindi, said the August House should unanimously call on the United States of America to lift the economic, financial, and commercial blockade against Cuba and its people.

The Swapo Party Coordinator for the Omusati Region, Sacky Kayone, has urged party supporters to go out in numbers on the 29th of September to vote for Selma Asino, the party's candidate in the Outapi Constituency by-election.

The Swapo Party’s Okongo District Office honoured the First Gentleman, Epaphras Ndaitwah, by renaming the office after him.

While thanking the leadership for the gesture, Ndaitwah urged them to work hard and build on the foundation already laid to develop the country.

The High Court has set aside a no-confidence vote motion, which led to the removal of three Swapo Party Councillors in the ||Kharas Regional Council.
