They spoke on the sidelines of a regional consultative meeting on the draft bill, conducted by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology at Keetmanshoop.

TransNamib train derails in ||Kharas Region

A TransNamib train that was carrying 22 wagons of manganese was derailed this morning about 50 kilometers outside Luderitz in the ||Kharas Region.

TransNamib spokesperson Abigail Raubenheimer confirmed the derailment in a statement.

Namibia Grape Company exports 2 million boxes

The Namibia Grape Company at Aussenkehr in the ||Kharas Region has exported more than 2 million boxes of grapes to the European market over the last season.

The company's MD, Gideon Nuunyango, revealed this during the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Natural Resources oversight visit to the project.

Learners of St. Therese Secondary and Nowak Primary Schools at Tses Village in ||Kharas Region can now broaden their knowledge through reading books, thanks to a library donation.

Various international members of the Rotary Network funded the library housed in one of the Nowak Primary School classrooms.

MANWU unhappy with working conditions at construction of Aussenkehr Clinic

The General Secretary of the Metal and Allied Namibian Workers Union, Justina Jonas, is unhappy with the current working conditions of employees constructing the Aussenkehr Clinic in the ||Kharas Region.

There are about 15,000 inhabitants who work mainly for grape-producing companies.
