Benjamin named Best Coach of the Tournament's Group Stage


Brave Warriors head coach Collin Benjamin has been named the best coach of the group stage in the ongoing COSAFA Cup in South Africa.

The Brave Warriors head coach started the tournament with a 0-0 draw against Angola, followed by victories over Lesotho (2-1) and Seychelles (3-1), steering his team to the semifinals of the regional competition.



The 2024 COSAFA Cup group matches have wrapped up, and the Brave Warriors have secured their spot in the semi-finals with a 3-1 victory over Seychelles.

The Brave Warriors faced off against Seychelles in their final Group C match, while Group C winners Angola played against Lesotho.

Striker Betuel Muzeu scored from the penalty spot after Romeo Kasume was fouled in the first half. The Brave Warriors went into halftime leading 1-0. Blue Waters forward Erastus Kulula added a stunning goal early in the second half before Muzeu scored again, making it 3-0.

Aprocius Petrus and Ivan Kamberipa boost Brave Warriors squad for COSAFA Cup


The Brave Warriors have concluded their preparations for the COSAFA tournament, scheduled from June 26 to July 7 in South Africa.

The squad receives a significant boost with the addition of midfielder Aprocius Petrus, who plays for Cape Town City in South Africa, and defender Ivan Kamberipa, representing Orapa United in Botswana.

Brave Warriors begin preparations for COSAFA Cup


Namibia's senior national football team, the Brave Warriors, has begun preparations for the 2024 Council of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) Cup.

This year will mark the 23rd edition of the regional competition, which is set to take place from June 26-7 July, 2024, in Gqeberha, South Africa. Namibia is in Group C alongside Angola, Lesotho, and the Seychelles.

The Brave Warriors kicked off their preparations today, gearing up to compete for top honours in the regional competition.

Namibia's senior national team continued preparations ahead of its two important World Cup qualifier matches against Liberia and Tunisia, respectively. 

The  Brave Warriors played to a one-all draw in a friendly match against Lesotho in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The coach, Collin Benjamin, heaped praise on his team for a brave showing despite sharing the spoils in a 1-all friendly. 

Benjamin also admitted that his goal poacher Peter Shalulile will be a big miss, who is being sidelined due to an ankle injury while on club duty.

The event has been rescheduled to the 9th of May. The Council of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) has announced the postponement of their much-anticipated inaugural awards ceremony.
