The Keetmanshoop Town Council has commissioned a project to upgrade gravel roads to interlocked paved roads as part of efforts to improve the town's road infrastructure.

After two years of abandonment, the Keetmanshoop public swimming pool is about to reopen. 

The town's mayor, Annelize Knaus, announced this in an interview with NBC News. 

Keetmanshoop Rotary Club President Benedictus Diergaardt has urged the residents to embrace a spirit of service to help build a united community. 

He made the call during a donation handover of mobility aids to the elderly and people with disabilities at Keetmanshoop.

The Keetmanshoop Agricultural Industrial and Tourism Expo (KAITE) held a fundraising gala dinner where it raised more than N$300,000 for this year's event, scheduled to take place at the end of next month.

The civil case in which Keetmanshoop magistrate Unchen Konjore is being sued for N$500,000 has been referred to mediation scheduled for September 19.

The number of unoccupied farms in the ||Kharas Region has been reduced from over 30 to eleven over the past 10 years. 

This was revealed by the Deputy Director in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, Albertus Engelbrecht. 

As the cold and windy weather conditions continue to grip Keetmanshoop, the town's mayor has extended a warm hand to the elderly and less fortunate by donating blankets.
