Family being a fundamental unit of any society, Vice President Nangolo Mbumba has called on the nation to create an orderly society where children grow up in an environment of peace and harmony, strengthening and instilling in them good moral values of love, kindness, and compassion.

The Namibian government is yet to receive a response from Germany on the proposed amendment to the joint declaration on the 1904–1908 genocide.

Vice President Nangolo Mbumba says the government has not signed any agreement with the German government regarding the 1904–1908 Genocide negotiations.

He said this at the Chief's Forum Meeting attended by traditional authorities from communities affected by the 1904–1908 Genocide in Windhoek today.

Vice-President Nangolo Mbumba unveiled a statue in honour of the late liberation struggle stalwart, Andimba Toivo Ya Toivo, at Ondangwa in the Oshana Region.

Mbumba described the late Ya Toivo as a great freedom fighter, statesman, and a true, patriotic Namibian.
