The Cassinga survivors, accompanied by Khomas Regional Governor Laura McLeod-Katjirua, laid a wreath at Heroes Acre in Windhoek in honour of those who died in the attack at Cassinga.

Some of the Cassinga survivors described the day's attack as brutal.

The Khomas Regional Council donated items valued at close to N$ 80 000 to the Windhoek Correctional Facility.

The gesture was made during a visit by the Khomas Governor and the council to the facility to look at the challenges faced by the rehabilitation centre.
