Namibia's oil and gas sector could boost the economy, but some residents in the Kavango West Region think the 10% benefit share is too small to grow the economy. 

A farmer based in the Kavango West Region is expanding his gardening project to boost food production and create jobs in the community.

Among the projects supported by the Kavango West Regional Council is Nanzamba Mixed Farming at Singuruve village in the Ncuncuni Constituency. 

The Kavango West Regional Council has concluded assessments of the first phase of the VAT-funded and capital projects.

The projects were funded during the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 financial years.

Stakeholders in the Kavango East and West regions propose that the Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund increase its funeral grants to N$50,000.

The proposal was made during a consultative meeting held at Rundu by the MVA Fund to amend the Motor Vehicle Accident Act 10 of 2007.
