Police squash rumours of organ trafficking

The police in the Omaheke Region have called on the public to refrain from spreading misleading information about the alleged harvesting of human organs.

NAMPOL say nothing of this nature has been reported in the region to date.

Speaking at a media conference in Gobabis, Regional Unit Commander and Community Affairs Officer, Inspector Fina Sakayengenga, pointed out that community members are wrongly linking an attempted murder case in the Aminuis Constituency earlier this month to human organ harvesting.

General Nainda warns public to stop spreading rumors

NamPol's Deputy Inspector General for Administration, Major General Anne-Marie Nainda, has sent out a strong warning to members of the public who deliberately spread rumors.

Major General Nainda was reacting to the murder of Karibib's six-year-old Adrian Oswyn last month.

Since the news of Little Adrian's murder broke, many took to social media, spreading all sorts of conjecture.

In the streets, names are being dropped of apparent suspects who have been arrested or possible persons of interest who need to be questioned.
