Windhoek annual festival donates to women

Prior to the start of its highly anticipated annual cultural festival, the PSTBET Windhoek Annual Cultural Festival, a prominent advocate for community vibrancy and cultural celebration, has reached out to support the women offenders at the Windhoek Correctional Service.

This year's festival theme, centered around women empowerment, highlights the festival's dedication to nurturing positive change and inclusivity within society.

Since its inception in 2019, the festival has been continuously evolving and growing.

UNAM students encouraged to be tolerant towards other cultures

The University of Namibia's Southern Campus Director, Dr. Seth Eiseb, urged students to continue being tolerant towards other cultures.

Eiseb, who made the remarks during the opening of the annual UNAM Cultural Festival at Keetmanshoop, says that the event aims to foster unity and promote good cultural practises and traditional values that should be emulated by all.

Vaalgras Traditional Authority holds first cultural festival

The Vaalgras Traditional Authority held its first cultural festival after nearly three years following the outbreak of COVID-19.

The cultural festival is celebrated under the theme "In the Spirit of Recovery and Revival."

The Acting Chief of the Vaalgras Traditional Authority, Martin Biwa, called for unity among communities, which he believes will bring about prosperity and economic recovery for the community.

!Aman clan pay tribute to fallen heroes

Tribesmen and women from the !Aman clan, a sub-tribe of the Nama people, gathered at Aus settlement in the ||Kharas Region to pay tribute to their fallen heroes during the clan's annual cultural festival. 

This year's festival is being held under the theme 'Faith, Love, and Hope'.

Gaob Johannes Frederick, addressing his subjects, implored them to continue fostering social cohesion.

He says the annual gathering should no longer be just business as usual.

Damara clans celebrate annual cultural festival at Okombahe

The Damaran people gathered at Okombahe to celebrate the annual cultural festival, which is aimed at uniting the different Damara sub-tribes as well as showcasing their culture and traditions for the benefit of the youth.

As the ray of sunlight touched the face of the earth, the Damaran Gaob Justus |Uruhe ||Gäroeb performed a ritual ceremony upon his visit to the graveyard monument of the late leaders and unveiled new plaques in their honour.
 
The Damaran Gaob led the lighting of the ritual fire that represents unity among the 34 Damara clans.
