Africa Netball acting president, Rebekka /ǀGoagoses, has called on African countries to unite through sport and invest more in infrastructure development to strengthen netball and empower young athletes across the continent.
The 2025 Nedbank Namibian Newspaper Cup is set to continue its legacy of promoting sports development across Namibia, offering young athletes a platform to showcase their talents.
The Debmarine Desert Jewels Netball team clinched the bronze medal at the Pacific Netball Series held in Brisbane, Australia, from June 10 to June 15.
This was achieved after they beat Samoa 54-36 last week Saturday.
The Senior Netball team, the Desert Jewels, consisting of 14 local and South Africa-based players, are gearing up to compete in the African Netball Championships, also known as the Africa Netball Cup, in Botswana.
Netball Namibia President Rebecca Goagoses led the draw for the MTC Netball Premier League, which will be played in Otjiwarongo on the 25th and 26 of March. The draw was conducted at the MTC Headquarters in Windhoek.
The newly elected president of Netball Namibia, Rebekka /Goagoses, said she is greatly appreciative of the nomination and election as President of Netball Namibia by regional executives.
