RFA, RA and Otjiwarongo sign MoU

The Road Fund Administration (RFA), the Roads Authority (RA), and the Otjiwarongo Municipality have signed an agreement to improve road infrastructure within the town. This initiative aims to enhance comfort for residents and attract investment.

The Chief Executive Officer of the RFA, Ali Ipinge, says the fund has already started with the selection of local authorities countrywide to enhance the road network.

Otavi roads to be upgraded

Otavi residents will heave a sigh of relief as roads, will be upgraded this year to address the pothole issue within the town centre and informal areas.

Otavi Mayor, Isaac !Hoaeb revealed that over N$700 000 has been set aside to refurbish the roads.

!Hoaeb says the upgrading of the roads will be done in many key areas as little or no upgrade has taken place for years now, adding improved road networks will attract investors to the town. 

Roads Authority warns of expected rise in traffic volumes closer to holiday season

As the nation edges closer to the festive season, public roads countrywide will see an increase in the volume of traffic on national roads.

The Road Authority Manager for Accidents and Injury Preventions Jones Lutombi, revealed that Namibia has one the highest statistics of road accidents compared to other countries.
