Road crashes involving pedestrians a serious concern in Kavango west region

Kavango West Regional Police Commander Julia Sakuwa-Neo says road crashes involving pedestrians are a serious concern in the region.

Commissioner Sakuwa-Neo is thus calling on all road users to be vigilant, especially over the festive season.

Namibia recorded over 2,000 road crashes from January to November, of which Kavango West accounted for 164 accidents and seven fatalities.

Sakuwa-Neo says the police will double visibility on the national roads but wants every road user to do their part to reduce motor vehicle accidents.
