Hardap hosts early Christmas lunch for elders

Senior citizens in Hardap Region have expressed appreciation for a lunch treat and food hampers, an early Christmas gift from the Hardap Governor's Office.  

The Hardap Governor's Office hosted 820 elderly people at the Elders Day held at Mariental.

The elders were spoiled with a manicure, haircuts, and hair blowouts.  

Putting on dancing shoes, the golden oldies also showcased their dancing skills to gospel and Namastap music.

B2Gold Namibia and the Otavi Town Council recently treated senior citizens and people with disabilities to an early Christmas lunch in the town.

The birth of Jesus Christ is usually celebrated by Christians all over the world, with families getting together, feasting, and opening presents.

Windhoek Mayor to host Christmas lunch for elderly and less privileged at Zoo Park

The Mayor of Windhoek is expected to host a Christmas lunch for hundreds of elders as well as hand out gifts to the less privileged, starting this coming Friday at the Zoo Park.

The Head of Corporate Communications, Lydia Amutenya, announced the development in an interview with Good Morning Namibia.

The Christmas market is a platform created by the council as a platform for businesses to showcase their products and find innovative ways to generate income.

But how will the council ensure that there are sufficient feet on the ground to support the initiative?
