NamPort equipped to accommodate green hydrogen industry - Kanime

The Namibia Ports Authority (NAMPORT) will need to ensure that it has the appropriate infrastructure to accommodate the green hydrogen industry.

Its Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Kanime, says the ports have ample land and cargo capacity, and the fuel jetty is sufficient to enable the export of green hydrogen through Walvis Bay.

The Namport CEO made the remarks when President Hage Geingob visited the Green Hydrogen Valley at the coast this week.

Namport aids schools in Kavango that have been struggling with furniture

The Namibia Ports Authority (Namport) has come to the aid of some schools in Kavango that have been struggling with furniture.

The company donated more than 300 chairs and desks worth about N$150,000 to three schools in the region.

The company's manager of corporate communications, Tana Pasat, noted that Namport has an obligation to support Namibian communities.

It is against this background that the company, through its corporate social responsibility drive, contributed more than N$25 million towards the education sector.
