Swapo Party Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has called on the residents of Okaku to deliver a landslide victory in this Friday's by-election.
Nandi-Ndaitwah made these remarks at the party's rally at Oneshoko village in the Oshana Region.
Scores of people from across the four northern regions and beyond donned in blue, red, and green converged at the village for the party's final rally and to show support for the party's candidate, David Fillipus.
In her address, Nandi-Ndaitwah says that as the governing party, Swapo has since independence brought development to the constituency, including the construction of 13 schools, improved road infrastructure, and health care facilities.
She maintained that Swapo is the sole party with a formidable track record of delivering services and has the interests of the electorate at heart, and it can do more should the residents give it another mandate.
Nandi-Ndaitwah reiterated her party's commitment to the implementation of various programs that will accelerate development in the constituency.
She added that the electorate has the power to question any stagnation in the constituency as well as hold the leadership accountable.
She added that Swapo's candidate, Fillipus, with the support of the party, has what it takes to deliver beyond the constituency.
There are 10,920 registered voters in the Okaku Constituency.
