Cyril Möller, a pool player from Namibia, will be representing the country at the International Pool Association's grand finale in China. He will be travelling to the port city of Qinhuangdao on Saturday.
Möller is a pool player from the Celtic Pool Club in Swakopmund, and is currently ranked number 1 in the country.
The number one status earned Möller an invite to the global finale of the International Pool Association, where he will be battling it out against the world's 64 best players.
He will be participating in the discipline of Chinese eight-ball at the pool tournament, which is the world's highest paid.
The event has been taking place annually since 2015.
Möller started playing pool at the age of 13 years and has since achieved several milestones in the country and abroad.
He said in an interview with NBC sport that being invited to participate in the IHPA is like a dream come true. He is thus honoured to be representing the Namibia Pool and Billiards Federation, as well as the nation of Namibia.
