The Association of the Diplomatic Spouses in Namibia, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund, hosted its annual international food and craft bazaar in the capital.
The charity bazaar was meant to raise funds for combating gender-based violence.
This year, Lifeline/Childline is the targeted organisation to benefit from the event proceeds.
More than 22 different embassies are participating in the bazaar, raising funds to battle gender-based violence in the country.
The embassies sold items ranging from arts, crafts, food, clothes, and typical souvenirs and goods put on sale at the colourful event.
The annual event also provides a platform for local businesses to promote and display their wares and services.
The President of the Association of Diplomatic Spouses in Namibia, Lamia Lofty, says the funds will go towards training and boosting small and medium-scale projects led by communities.
With the funds from the bazaar, Lifeline/Childline plans to train volunteers and social workers.
This was the fourth year the Association of Diplomatic Spouses in Namibia has hosted the event.
The bazaar is celebrated under the theme "the prevention of gender-based violence, one of the most pressing social issues in the Namibian society currently."
