Namibia and India are exploring ways to address the challenges of poverty, inequality, and unemployment in both countries.
Since establishing diplomatic relations 33 years ago, the cooperation between Namibia and India has deepened, with India providing extensive support in promoting the socio-economic development of Namibia.
India has been actively involved in training Namibians in various fields, including diplomacy, information technology, healthcare, education, and agriculture.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, emphasised the importance of reviewing the Memorandum of Understanding for Mutual Cooperation with the Foreign Service Institute of India.
This, she says, would facilitate collaboration between the Namibia School of Diplomatic Studies and India's Foreign Service Institute.
These discussions took place during the first session of the Joint Ministerial Commission between Namibia and India, held this morning at MIRCO.
