Commissioner Ottilie Kashuupulwa is the new Police Regional Commander for the Ohangwena Region.

The 54-year-old Kashuupulwa replaces Commissioner Elizabeth Sibulile, who went into retirement.

Commissioner Kashuupulwa's appointment to her new role, the police say, stands as a testament to her exceptional leadership skills, dedication, and outstanding service within the law enforcement community, spanning 32 years.

Throughout her career trajectory, Kashuupulwa has been recognised through numerous achievements and commendations, as reflected by Major General Elias Mutota.

Commissioner Kashuupulwa vowed to remain committed to addressing criminal activities while prioritising community engagement initiatives.

Her aims are to create an environment where residents can feel safe and actively participate in crime prevention efforts alongside the police force.

Recognising that effective policing relies heavily on partnerships with communities, Commissioner Kashuupulwa plans to implement innovative approaches aimed at bridging the gap between citizens and law enforcement officers.
