A tombstone of nine PLAN fighters who were killed on the second of April, 1989, in clashes with South African security forces was unveiled at Enghandja laShikongeni Village in the Ohangwena region.

Over 50% of Namibia's research infrastructure is concentrated in the |Khomas and Erongo Regions, while no research facilities exist in Hardap, Ohangwena, and Kavango West regions. 

These are part of findings contained in the just-launched Namibia's Research Infrastructure Survey Report.

SWAPO stalwart Erkki Nghimtina was laid to rest this morning at the Eenhana Memorial Shrine in the Ohangwena Region. The former minister passed away at his home in Edundja Village on February 8th at the age of 78.
