Ntwala Lyamine-Sazita has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Bukalo Village Council in the Zambezi Region.
The Village Council has had acting accounting officers for almost the past seven years.
Introducing Lyamine-Sazita, the Village Council's Chairperson, Simataa Mubonda, was confident that the new CEO would roll the ball in the right direction for the benefit of the residents.
In addition, Mubonda says the construction of more than 80 houses by NHE, the Bukalo Shackdwellers Federation, will soon start as they are just waiting for construction materials to be delivered to the site.
Lyamine-Sazita, on her part, promised to prioritise uniting the employees in the quest to deliver much-needed services to residents as well as intensify efforts in revenue collection.
Lyamine-Sazita further committed to establishing a community library to expose learners from the three local schools to sources of information, as technology has evolved towards information and knowledge-based development.
The Bukalo Village Council has three councillors from the Swapo Party and two from the PDM.
