Dr. Alpo Mbamba Secondary School from Kavango East Region are the best singers, as they won the Anti-Corruption Commission Song Competition.
The finale was held in Swakopmund last night.
It was a journey that started about three months ago as part of the ACC's strategy to slash, if not end, corruption.
A total of 55 schools from the country's 13 regions initially applied to take part in the singing competition.
Schools in the Kunene Region did not apply.
Along the way, 22 schools were eliminated, leaving 33 to battle it out.
The number of schools got slimmer, down to 13, and as others got eliminated, four reached the finals.
Dr. Alpo Mbamba Secondary School, from the Kavango East Region, over 600 kilometres away from the host town, was pronounced the winner.
The school walked away with N$25,000.
It was a celebration of the power of music to combat this societal scourge.
Monica Geingos Secondary School from the Otjozondjupa Region came in second place, walking away with a prize of N$12,000.
The third prize went to Angra Pequena Senior Secondary School from the ||Kharas Region, pocketing N$7500,000.
Mweshipandeka Secondary School from the Oshana Region came in, banking in N$5500,000.
Each prize comes with a trophy that will be given directly to the schools.
The winning team's choir conductor, Matheus Michael, was over the moon.
The competition held under the theme 'JOIN THE FIGHT', was a call to action for all stakeholders and encouraged individuals to stand up against the social and economic malfeasance of corruption.
