The "Minister of Finance Gets His Hands Dirty with the Youth" campaign kicked off at Green Leaves Primary School in Okahandja Park today. Led by National Council member Emma Muteka, who also serves as Secretary General of the Tukwatha Youth Organization, the event aims to highlight the importance of collective action in creating a cleaner and safer environment.

The event started at 7 a.m. and saw the Minister of Finance actively participating in the clean-up efforts alongside local youth volunteers. Together, they tidied up the surroundings and instilled a sense of pride in their community.

The Minister praised the youth for their efforts in cleaning up their community, emphasizing that learning is only conducive in a clean environment. He also encouraged more youth to join similar initiatives as it helps future leaders be committed to developing their country.

The President of TYO mentioned that the initiative is part of Namibia's goal to become the cleanest city in Africa.
