It is often said that the sky is the limit, but this adage has lost its meaning.

This rings true in the story of two NBC employees, Emcy Tjizu and Regina Nunuhe, who challenged the limits and transitioned from cleaners to production workers.

Both Emcy Tjizu and Regina Nunuhe joined NBC around the same time as cleaners, but they seized the opportunity presented by the corporation to study Television Production at the College of the Arts.

Initially comfortable in their cleaning positions, they embraced the chance to study at the college when it arose.

They eagerly pursued part-time studies at the College of the Arts and graduated in 2022 alongside other like-minded colleagues.

Emcy Tjizu is now a camera operator, a role she truly enjoys.

Regina Nunuhe has been promoted to the sound department as the junior sound operator.

This opportunity has given the duo confidence and courage to continue pursuing bigger and better opportunities.

NBC and the College of the Arts have formed a partnership to upskill staff and enable them to obtain qualifications.
