As part of its quest to solidify its position as a premier family holiday destination on the African continent, the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) will be participating in the World Travel Market (WTM) Africa in Cape Town this week.
The annual travel and tourism event WTM Africa is scheduled to kick off from Wednesday until Friday at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
WTM Africa is an annual travel and tourism industry event that provides a platform for destinations to promote their tourism offerings to nearly five thousand attendees from the travel industry globally.
NTB will showcase under the theme 'Travel' and will present a chance to highlight its diverse landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and unique wildlife experience.
Flora Quest explained that the objective of Namibia's participation at WTM Africa includes raising awareness about Namibia as a prime family holiday destination, enhancing Namibia's brand visibility, and positioning itself in the African travel market.
To generate leads and partnerships with tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, and other travel-related businesses, and to drive tourism growth in Namibia by attracting more visitors and increasing visitor spending.
Quest says that in preparation for WTM Africa, NTB will be co-exhibiting with 15 exhibitors from the Namibian tourism industry, and the focus will be on engaging in various presentation platforms, networking opportunities, and marketing strategies to attract attention.
She added that Namibia's participation at the WTM Africa will serve as an opportunity to showcase the country's tourism potential, forge partnerships, and drive growth in the travel industry while promoting sustainable tourism.
