City of Windhoek Mayor Queen Kamati has urged residents of Windhoek to attend meetings to discuss matters of interest.
The meetings are scheduled to run for the whole month of July.
She raised this during the monthly meeting of the City of Windhoek council.
Kamati says the topics that will be discussed will benefit the residents of the city.
The councillors deliberated on issues such as the need for the city to review all the MOUs they have signed with various institutions, the need for a research centre to provide various data on the city, and the breach and cancellation of various agreements signed with third parties.
Another is the intellectual property rights of the parties involved in MOUs.
In addition, donations received by organisations through the Council must have prior permission to do so.
Records of such donations should also be recorded, as should the need for institutions to comply with directives when donating, such as what pictures to post on social media and what to avoid.
