The Swapo Party received 60 new members today, who, upon welcoming received the party's constitution.

Party Secretary General Sophia Shaningwa urged those who still want to return or simply join to do so.

"I am so happy that you have realised that you belong to the Swapo Party, the party of your uncles, your aunties, your moms, and your dads. I am happy that you have realised that you have been told too many stories. I am happy that you have been realised."

She also urged the new members to be free in expressing their views on the changes they want to see.

The majority of the new members are young people.
