After hosting the launch of Swakopmund born Brave Warriors midfielder Deon Hotto foundation almost two months ago, the Chairperson of the foundation Carl Pesat provided an update on how things are currently going, in regards to that matter.

Almost N$2 million was pledged towards the foundation, which will enable it to carry out its objectives, which is to empower young athletes and footballers in the country. 

It was during the launch that the Swakopmund Councilor Claus Goldbeck also had availed two plots in the town for a stadium to be constructed, that would see at least 10 000 fans seated.

NBC Sport caught up with the chairperson of the foundation, who said plans are underway to make the objectives a reality. 

Pesat also shared Deon Hotto's reaction when he heard how much support the foundation is receiving.

Three DH Sports Facilities (each accommodating two 5-a side football courts and a netball court) are scheduled to be built in Swakopmund, Omaruru and Okahandja. 

The construction of these facilities are expected to take at least 10 years, however, one of these facilities construction will commence this year and should be completed next year.
