At the 2024 Zambezi Bream Festival in Katima Mulilo, the spotlight was on Boxing as Mayor John Ntemwa encouraged more female participation in the sport.

Mayor John Ntemwa attended the boxing tournament as part of the Zambezi Bream Festival, praising its success and calling for increased female participation in boxing.

Trainer Patrick Munal highlighted the joy of the event and urged local businesses to support future tournaments to ensure their sustainability.

For the first time, female bouts were included, showcasing the rising role of women in Boxing. Amateur boxer Musialela Kabuba expressed her gratitude and encouraged other young women to participate.

Musialela Kabuba  a boxer stated that "I really enjoy being a female boxer and I encourage fellow girls of my age to take part " 

Boxer Nawa Dylan shared his enthusiasm for the event and his eagerness to face future challenges.

The Boxing bonanza not only celebrated the sport but also set a precedent for future female fighters in Katima Mulilo. With ongoing community support, such events will continue to inspire and cultivate local talent.
