Law students from the University of Namibia (UNAM) have embarked on a transformative journey to support a soup kitchen in Windhoek's Hakahana Residential Area, where they donated essentials.

The students donated food items and clothing and undertook the renovation of the kitchen area where meals for the children are prepared.

These contributions were met with appreciation from Maria Savage, the driving force behind the Needy Hearts Soup Kitchen, which serves meals to 60 to 100 children each day after school.

"I just want to make a small testimony. One day I was cooking, and the sun was from this side, the wind came from this side, and the fire was from this side, and I just felt emotional, and that day I asked God today if I am doing this because you know after that you have seen my ideas and you will make a difference in what I am doing, and when I got this, I was like, God, thank you. You have heard me that day, and you have seen my tears, and I am very grateful for that. Guys, this is a massive, massive gift. I don't know what type of thank you I should give for doing this because this means a lot for us."

The law students shared the personal impact the project has had on them, highlighting the importance of giving back and making a tangible difference in the lives of others.

The initiative not only addresses immediate needs by providing meals but also aims to empower the community through educational and life skills programs.
