Churches have been encouraged to actively promote peace, foster a sense of belonging, and engage young people in community development efforts.
This call was made by Pastor Lopang Olobilwe of St. Faith Healing Church, located in Corridor 13, Omaheke.
Pastor Olobilwe, speaking to NBC News, emphasized the critical role that churches can play in promoting human development.
"We must focus on our community. I also want to address school dropouts – they should consider enrolling in programs like NAMCOL to improve their futures and living standards. Parents must take responsibility for their children who are on the streets. These children are not 'street kids'—they have parents. All of this must be done with love."
Churches have also been urged to educate their congregants, particularly young people, about the dangers of harmful substances.
